The Gospel for this Sunday is so awesome. The disciples are asking, Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” And I think we can live that way so often that we are not looking for Jesus, but we are looking for something else or someone else.
And I think the solution to this problem is Taylor Swift. Don’t judge, don’t hate. Yes, I like T-Swift, and her song “You Belong to Me” is really powerful because one of the lines in it is, “What you’ve been looking for has been here the whole time.” That’s what Jesus is saying to our hearts. Every time we are looking for something else, someone else, Jesus is saying, “What you’ve been looking for is here the whole time.” Every time that you look for pleasure to fulfill you, every time that you are grasping onto a relationship that might be unhealthy, whatever we are searching for, whatever we’re trying to fulfill us, it is only fulfilled in Jesus Christ. You belong to Him, not Taylor Swift. You belong to Jesus Christ. This is Spirit Juice. Peace.
Have a great night. Love you guys.

Fear of Being Less of Ourselves
One of my favorite scenes from The Lord of the Rings is when Gandalf heals King Theoden from Saruman’s possession. This is such an awesome scene of healing. At one point, the possessed King Theoden says to Gandalf, “If I go, Theoden dies.” And that’s precisely what we see in the gospel today. The demon spirit tells Jesus, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us?” We say that to…

God Keeps His Promises
So I’m sure many of you during school have had a teacher like Professor Trelawney. That’s right. Someone is a bit goofy, and she is someone who has a few screws loose but is nice. Professor Trelawney is a prophet, but the thing with Professor Trelawney is that she barely ever gets anything right. But who is someone who predicts the…

God Stays
So, two couples I’m preparing for marriage chose this Sunday’s Gospel for their wedding. So, I asked both couples the same question: “Why did you choose this reading?” Couple number one responded, “Yeah, we chose this gospel because it was the shortest option.” And I was like, “Bruh.” The second couple replied, “We chose this gospel because God wants to remain with us…
