If it has been less than a week since you’ve binge-watched movies or TV shows, raise your hand. Now raise your hand if, afterward, you felt absolutely alive. When we binge-watch TV and movies, we feel less alive.
In the Gospel today, Jesus says, “Come to me all who labor and are burdened, “and I will give you rest.” We’re called to go to the Lord. He’s the one who truly provides rest. And when it comes to recreation, He also wants to be a part of that. Recreation means to recreate part of ourselves, to be made new. There are so many things in our life that can make us more alive and new. Whether it’s hobbies or exercise, or reading. Whatever it is, Jesus wants to enter into it and recreate us. So if you need rest, go to the Lord. If you need to recreate yourself, let the Lord into your leisure. This is Spirit Juice. Be fully alive.

Jesus’ Second Coming

In all of the readings, this is what Jesus is talking about. He’s talking about the world’s end for Jesus’s second coming. And the fantastic thing is we don’t have to be afraid. Jesus first came in humility, poverty, and weakness, coming in a manger…

Remembering Pope Francis

However, what struck me the most was how Pope Francis responded to me. He said, “I will, of course, pray for your sister, but I need…

Reject the Squidward Within
There is this guy. You may know him, you may not. His name is Squidward Tentacles. Squidward Tentacles is incredibly negative. He is constantly judging, and he is always finding fault in others. He is not a fun person to be around. The thing is, we can do that as well. We are so attracted to negativity. We’re drawn to crazy comments on social media…
