So, have you ever seen those videos of police dogs that attack the guy wearing the crazy, weird-looking suit? Sometimes I feel like that’s my life. There are many times when I feel attacked, and I feel like I’m out of control, and I don’t feel safe.
In the gospel for this Sunday, the apostles experienced the same thing. The storm is attacking them, and they are not safe. But what does Jesus do? Jesus says to the storm, “Quiet, be still.” He is the master of everything. This is the great news that we have a Lord and a God who loves us and wants us to feel safe. When we are threatened, Jesus Christ calms the interior parts of our hearts. With the lord of the universe, we can feel secure, and we don’t have to be afraid. Give your fears, give your anxiety, give your panic, give anything that hurts the heart to Jesus. This is Spirit Juice. Peace.
