In 1263 in Italia, there was a tiny town, Bolzano, where a priest, a Dom Peter, was celebrating mass. And while he was celebrating mass, he had doubts about the real presence of the Eucharist. And as he lifted the host for consecration, blood began to drip from the host onto the altar.
This was what is called a Eucharistic miracle, and many confirmed Eucharistic miracles have happened throughout the history of the church. But this one in particular, the Pope at the time, was so inspired by this Eucharistic miracle that he instituted the Feast Day of Corpus Christi, which we celebrate this weekend. We celebrate the greatest gift that the Catholic church has ever received from Jesus: Himself, His body, His blood, His soul, and divinity. God loves you so much that we receive Him at Holy Communion. Archbishop Fulton Sheen said best: “The greatest love story that the world has ever known is contained in a tiny white host.”

The Lord Keeps Us Safe

It’s Lent, and let’s get after it. The best thing we can do for this Lent is spiritually move from Andy Dwyer to Star-Lord. When he plays Andy Dwyer, Chris Pratt is a little bit on the overweight side, a little bit pudgy, and when he plays Star-Lord, he is very fit. Chris Pratt, in an interview, said the way that he was able to get to the physique of…
