Okay, what are the top five things Americans attribute to the word cozy? Number one, soft sofas. Number two, hot beverages. Number three, books. Number four, blankets. Number five, fireplaces. For us as Catholics, what is the thing that brings us coziness? It’s not a fireplace; it’s the sanctuary lamp because whenever we walk into a church and see it lit, we know that our friend Jesus is present. And there is nothing cozier, nothing safer than being with Jesus. So we look at that sanctuary lamp and know, “My friend Jesus is with me.” So, if you are craving some spiritual coziness in your life or some safety, go to your local Catholic church. Look upon the sanctuary lamp and know that your friend Jesus is there. He is truly present in the most holy eucharist. So get some Catholic coziness in your life! This is Spirit Juice, peace.

In the gospel, Jesus calls on Bartimaeus, saying that Bartimaeus is not one among…

Don’t Hoard Your Gifts
This Sunday’s Gospel is about the rich man who accumulates all of this wealth. But he hoards them; he doesn’t give anything away. We are called as Christians to do the opposite. We have accumulated so many skills. The question is, do we hoard it or do we give it away in love? I think a great example of this is Eleven from Stranger Things…

Ascension Day

And then you finally get back home, and suddenly, you walk into your house, and all of the fears, anxieties, and worries dissolve, and you feel safe. It’s amazing. And this Sunday, we celebrate the ascension, which is Jesus Christ going back home. The crazy thing is that this is not just for Jesus. This is for us. We one day will be…
