Question: what is your security blanket? For Gollum, it’s the ring. For Tony Stark, it’s the Iron Man suit. For Woody, it’s his status as a favorite toy. In the gospel for the Sunday, Jesus gives us the foundations of discipleship, and one of those things is getting rid of the unhealthy attachments that prevent us from Jesus. We all have them. We all have those security blankets that bring us false security. The beautiful reality is that Jesus Christ is our ultimate safety and security, and He will never abandon us. So, my invitation for this Sunday is to identify your security blanket, reject your security blanket, and attach yourself to Jesus Christ, who is your ultimate security and safety. This is Spirit Juice. Peace!

Jesus first came in humility, poverty, and weakness, coming in a manger…

Yet, he is actually living a lie and he can’t truly be happy until he is honest with himself and honest about his situation. Right, come on, let’s be honest. And so in the same thing with the gospel today, here is the tax collector who is brutally…
