So this weekend is Palm Sunday, which means that we will hear from the entire Passion of Jesus Christ at mass. So, prepare your body to stand for a long time. What is so beautiful about this Sunday is that we learn about God’s infinite love. Jesus Christ goes to the greatest lengths to prove His love for us. This is so beautiful because, as Christians, this Palm Sunday reminds us that the perfect shape for a Christian is a cross. The shape of the cross goes infinitely outward in all directions, a symbol of self-gift, a symbol of incredible love. And we are called to imitate the Lord’s incredible love for us.
Have a blessed Palm Sunday. I love this idea of God’s infinite love. It gives me goosebumps. I am so pumped for Holy Week. You are in my prayers. This is Spirit Juice, peace.

The Supreme Gift
I don’t know if you’re like me, but every time I see a baby, I only want to hold and squeeze it because it’s so cute. Maybe that makes me weird. What this is called is the positive feedback loop. When we hold or care for an infant child, it releases oxytocin. It’s written in our biology that babies are cute. The gospel for this Sunday is intense, but it is all about the preciousness of children, and the Catholic…

King Herod
So I’m not sure if I can say this as a priest, but King Herod sucks. In the Gospel today, King Herod is evil. He is Voldemort, he is Thanos, he is the Mind Flayer all rolled into one. All he wants to do is control everything, the Jewish people, the Roman government, even to control the God of the universe, even to the point of wanting to kill…
