This happens in professional sports all of the time. A team is on a losing streak. The owner is not happy. And so the owner brings in a new coach to clean house. In this Sunday’s gospel, Jesus enters the temple and cleans house. He is not satisfied with his home being violated. The crazy thing is that we are also a home for Jesus. We also have a temple within our hearts for the Lord. And so Jesus is not satisfied with the dark parts of our hearts. And Jesus wants to enter into his home within our hearts, and he wants to clean house. He wants to shake things up. The best way by far to let Jesus enter our hearts and clean house is to go to confession. Go to confession and let Jesus clean house within your heart so that you are open to receiving every part of his love.
