One of the things that I absolutely love about Buddy the Elf is the fact that he is so innocent. He is so pure. He is so humble. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that Santa.
Takes him out of the orphanage and Buddy lives in the North Pole. He is preserved from the craziness of the world. This is the reason why Buddy can eat gum off the sidewalk. Because Santa preserved him from the craziness of the world. That is very similar to the immaculate conception. Buddy the Elf, immaculate conception. Not a perfect analogy. Jesus Christ saves Mary through his death, through his resurrection, but God preserves Mary from original sin from the moment of her conception. She is preserved from the craziness of the world to be the vessel for God himself. Ask her to pray for you that she can go to the Father who loves her and who loves you.
Have a great solemnity. Celebrate well.

They reject God, and bad things happen. They dig a hole that they cannot get out of. But the fantastic thing about the first reading for this Sunday is that Jonah, a prophet, speaks to the people of Nineveh, calling them to repent and…

This Is Our Battle Cry
This Sunday’s gospel is a battle cry that we are called to go into battle. Jesus says, “You are the salt of the earth.” In the ancient world, when a city was conquered, the soldiers would lay out salt everywhere, on the ground, in the streets, to destroy anything growing there. It sounds weird, but we are called as Christians to eliminate…

Go To Confession
I am in the confessional, ready to go, and there’s got to be at least a hundred college kids around campus right now who are sinners. So I’m hoping for at least a hundred confessions because today is Divine Mercy Sunday. Today is a day when Jesus wants to do is share His merciful heart with us. I invite you to look at the miraculous image of the Divine Mercy…
