So in the gospel today, a sower goes out to sow, and the sower throws seed down on the thorny ground, and the thorns choke the seeds so the seeds do not flourish. We are often thrown onto the thorny ground, and busyness is one of the big things that really chokes us. Busyness in our lives chokes our relationship with Jesus, and we do not flourish. And so we need to be a guardian of our time. And so, how do we do this? We can be more like Dr. Strange.
Dr. Strange is a superhero that possesses the time stone. He moves from possessing time and moves to being a guardian of time. In the same way, we are called to be a guardian of our time and to give some of our time to Jesus so that we can thrive. The last thing we want is to get to the end of our lives and say to Jesus, “I just didn’t have time for you.” Guard your time well. Give it to Jesus and thrive.

But everyone…

Glory To God
So, the first reading for this Sunday is from the Prophet Baruch, and yes, that is an excellent name for your new puppy. So, the Prophet Baruch gives us incredible things to pray about this advent, specifically glory. The Prophet Baruch uses glory six times in the reading. The dictionary doesn’t do the word glory justice as Catholics. That as Catholics, what is glory? Glory is extraordinary beauty. It is holy beauty…

Professor Trelawney is a prophet, but the thing with Professor Trelawney is that she barely ever gets anything right. But who is someone who predicts the…
