So, the first reading for this Sunday is from the Prophet Baruch, and yes, that is an excellent name for your new puppy. So, the Prophet Baruch gives us incredible things to pray about this advent, specifically glory. The Prophet Baruch uses glory six times in the reading. The dictionary doesn’t do the word glory justice as Catholics. That as Catholics, what is glory? Glory is extraordinary beauty. It is holy beauty. And so glory is reserved for God because God is the most astonishing beauty. So, what is glorious? The incarnation is glorious. The crucifixion is glorious; the resurrection is glorious. And so this advent season, we were called to cry out Glory to God in the highest. He is the most extraordinary beauty. So, witness glory in your lives and give it all to the Lord. He is perfectly glorious. This is Spirit Juice, peace.

You Belong With Him
The Gospel for this Sunday is so awesome. The disciples are asking, Jesus, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?” And I think we can live that way so often that we are not looking for Jesus, but we are looking for something else or someone else. And I think the solution to this problem is Taylor Swift…

The Word “But”
My favorite word in the gospel for this Sunday is the conjunction “but.” I love the part where the apostles say to Jesus, “Jesus, we have worked all night. We have caught nothing. But at your command, we will lower the nets.” The word “but” is so powerful because it shows the relationship with Jesus. A lot of the time, we don’t use that word. All we ask is the question, “Why?” “Jesus, why am I suffering like this?” “Why would…

The King of the Universe
Man, I’m pumped. Today is the Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. Sounds like something from Dr. Strange. And then in the Gospel today, the good thief says, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” That we have a kingdom, that we have a king. We don’t have a king that wears a golden…
