It’s Lent, and let’s get after it. The best thing we can do for this Lent is spiritually move from Andy Dwyer to Star-Lord. When he plays Andy Dwyer, Chris Pratt is a little bit on the overweight side, a little bit pudgy, and when he plays Star-Lord, he is very fit.
Chris Pratt, in an interview, said the way that he was able to get to the physique of Star-Lord, was not working out. It was his diet. And so this Lent, we are called to be able to consume what is good. And so often throughout the year, we look at things we shouldn’t be looking at. We eat things that we shouldn’t be eating. We let into our hearts things that should not be there. Can we consume what is good, virtuous, and true from the Lord? So let’s move from Andy Dwyer to Star-Lord, and spiritually get ripped.

Reject Isolation
At the end of Marvel’s “Infinity War,” Thanos sits alone on a planet alone. And you may think that it’s paradise, but it’s hell. In this Sunday’s gospel, Jesus says clearly, “What does it profit one if he gains the whole world “but loses his life? “Loses his soul?” Thanos gets everything he wants. He receives the Gauntlet. He gets the Infinity Stones. He wins the war…

15 Days from Easter

In the Gospel today, we have a foreshadowing of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and…
