So a new “Hunger Games” movie, “Ballad of Songbird and Snakes,” just came out, and this is not a spoiler. However, the two main characters, Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Gray, have an excellent relationship. Lucy Gray, everything about her, inspires Coriolanus Snow to be good and to be more virtuous. She is the light. She is the hope for Coriolanus Snow.
Today, we celebrate the blessed Epiphany of the Lord, where Jesus Christ is the light and the hope for all of us. He is the one who brings out the goodness, who brings out the virtue in our hearts. So, no matter what religion you are, no matter what culture you are from, no matter what nation you are from, Jesus Christ is the answer. He is the light for us all. It all comes from Him, and it all ends with Him. Blessed Epiphany, I’m praying for you all. This is Spirit Juice. Peace.

Good Friday
At 3:00 p.m. today, my face will be on the floor. For Catholics, on Good Friday, the priest lays prostrate on the ground, representing Jesus giving his whole self, his whole body for us. It signifies total reverence and honor to our Lord, who gave everything. And what I love about our chapel at the Newman Center is that my head will be lying upon the Latin words “Dominum et vivificantem,” which means “The Lord, the giver of…

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
There is a problem. And that problem is distracted walking. In 2022, thousands of people were injured, texting and walking simultaneously, more than a grizzly bear, shark, and alligator attacks all wrapped into one. In the gospel today, St. Peter himself is distracted by the storm. And when he is distracted by the storm and takes his eyes away from Jesus…

15 Days from Easter
Guys, we are 15 days away from Easter. Fifteen days is not a long time, and it takes 15 days to walk from New York to Florida and 15 days to watch all of the episodes and seasons of “The Bachelor.” Side note, if you watch “The Bachelor,” stop and go to confession. In the Gospel today, we have a foreshadowing of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and…
