Okay, so fish are fascinating. Did you know that salmon swim upstream for almost 2,000 miles every year? This is insane. This Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family, and the family are like fish always swimming upstream. No matter what is going on in the culture, no matter what is happening in the world, the family is always being counter-cultural, going against the grain, bringing life, and providing life. And so we are called as Catholic Christians to embrace the family, to embrace the culture of life. This is such great news that God created the family. God created human nature, and that can never be taken away. So praying for all of you and your families as we enter into 2025. Happy New Year, and this is Spirit Juice. Peace.

Corpus Christi

That’s the equivalent of watching all of the seasons of “The Office” nonstop, eight times in a row. That’s the equivalent of reading the Bible cover to cover nonstop 13 times in a row. So why is he doing this…

God Keeps His Promises

Professor Trelawney is a prophet, but the thing with Professor Trelawney is that she barely ever gets anything right. But who is someone who predicts the…

Done or Half-Baked
So, the bottom line is that you are never a done muffin. You are always half-baked. In the gospel for this Sunday, Jesus tells the scribe, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” He doesn’t say to the scribe, “You made it. You did it. Success.” He says, yeah, you’ve said all the right things, but still, you have some work to do. Still, I want to go deeper with you. This is the beautiful reality that Jesus…
