In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Finally the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. What does that really mean?
When Jesus says that we’re gonna know him, we’re gonna see him, and that he’s gonna be with us always, how does he come? He comes to poverty, waiting in the poor, maybe in the person that annoys us, in the people we don’t get along with at work or my family, in our struggles, in our suffering, he’s there. As the Word became flesh which was Jesus and it was right there where he chose to come into the world, in poverty. It’s right there where he wants to come into our lives.
In this episode Fr. Malachy speaks more about the meaning of the Word becoming flesh and invites us to open your eyes to the little things, to the poor things, to the places where you wouldn’t expect to meet Jesus.
