Not only priests are anointed, we as Christians, through baptism and confirmation, we are all anointed. In our anointing we are given a purpose, a mission. God wants us to be part of the work of redemption, he wants us to not just be spectators in life looking on from the outside, but rather to be in it as it unfolds.
In this video Fr. Malachy of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal tells the story of his anointing, and shares a beautiful reflection of what it means, for him, for you, and for all of us, to be anointed.
